ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Our Aboriginal Head Start program is a full-time child care centre located in a portable next to Parkside Elementary, offering quality, culturally grounded care for Indigenous children ages 3 to 5. AHS is more than a daycare — it's a family wellness program that holistically supports children, families, staff, and the broader community.
Research has shown that AHS gives Indigenous children a true head start in life, while also creating space for healing the intergenerational effects of Residential Schools and empowering Indigenous people from an early age. As the program grows, so does its impact — rippling outward into families and communities across the country.
Please note: AHS is not open to the public and requires a referral for enrollment. Families interested in joining our waitlist are encouraged to reach out to our AHS Coordinator directly.
